(more)PRISM COMICS is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501c organization that supports LGBTQ and LGBTQ-friendly comics creators, professionals, readers, educators and librarians. Founded in 2003, Prism advocates for diversity in comics and popular media through its website, social networking, exhibit booths and panel presentations at conventions. Prism Comics also presents the annual PRISM AWARDS for excellence and representation in queer comics in conjunction with the Queer Comics Expo and The Cartoon Art Museum.
Prism will be hosting three terrific online panels for Comic-Con@Home: A Tribute to Howard Cruse, The Godfather of Queer Comics / LGBTQ Comics and Popular Media for Young Readers / and Out in Comics 33 - the 33rd year of the longest running panel in comic convention history!
