You turn the corner and find yourself in front of a strange booth full of friendly bearded men. A red haired songstress darts about compulsively straightening t-shirts. You examine the wares of this vendor.
**ENCOUNTER!**
The table is covered in Illustrations of whales and bears and dinosaurs. It's not the best work you've seen but there's something there, a warmth. A friendly voice radiating from these charmed creations.
You pick up a calendar and feign interest. A mistake! The pages are meticulously hand drawn and covered with adorable sketches of whales and bears.
OK. What is this sorcery!? You examine the booth again. The sign reads "Alaska Robotics."
Are these people from Alaska? Did they come all the way to San Diego just to sell prints and shirts and calendars? Where are the robots? Why robots?
One of the bearded men sees the look of confusion on your face and leans over the table. "You're wondering about the robots. It's kind of a long story. I've been meaning to make a comic about it. Have you seen these exploded fish magnets?"
You look down and see a refrigerator magnet with a salmon on it, a cross between a meat chart and an exploded engine diagram. It's only five bucks.
There's a t-shirt with a dinosaur saying "rawr."
You get out your wallet.
