Designer Stephanie Housley’s creative process is a special alchemy of story-telling, illustration, machine embroidery and hand-finishing. Trained informally at home and then formally at RISD in Textiles, she first creates her bold pattern designs as original pencil drawings before painstakingly redrawing them stitch by stitch. Every Coral & Tusk product retains the hand-drawn allure of the original illustration, now with the satisfying tactile quality of stitches on cloth. (less)
