My process begins by first blowing a glass plate, where I choose and apply layers of bold crisp colors that will serve as the canvas for these glassy wearables. I work mostly with organic and often abstract floral objects from which to draw inspiration. Each image starts as a drawing that is then sandblasted into the surface of the glass. I use colorful glass powders to fill these recesses and fuse them into the plate. The pieces are then cut into their unique shape and fashioned into their final form. (less)
